Reduced to shadow, the figure loses its individual identity and becomes a gesture — a trace of bodily presence.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe print developed from my interest in shadows as images that belong to us yet remain separate from us. A shadow reveals the presence of a body without describing the person who casts it, occupying an uncertain space between the physical and the intangible.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eLayered areas of colour shift and overlap across the surface, allowing secondary tones and traces of the printing process to remain visible.
